An Oprah appearance would get the word out

Everyone knows how powerful the Oprah Winfrey show is for getting someone or something high visibility. The show averages about 8.5 million viewers per airing. It is the highest-rated talk show in American television history. And it is currently the longest-running daytime television talk show in the US, having run nationally since 1986, for over 22 seasons and 3,724 episodes. But Oprah has said that in 2011, she will not renew her contract, thus ending the show. Since there is not yet a clear successor to take her place as the Queen of daytime talkshow television we do not have much time.

Much time for what you ask? I believe the messages in my book are very important to everyone but especially to the 2 million amputees in the US, the 12 million cancer survivors, the 45 million americans who live with a disability and anyone who is related to or cares for one of the above. Without what they call in the industry a "platform" word about this book will be only through, well, word of mouth. We need a big boost somehow. The appearance on the Today Show in 2007 was too long ago to still help. Oprah would be the holy grail for this. Somehow we need to find a way for Oprah and her staff to hear about this and work of mouth could help with that.

I created a video appeal directly to Oprah and posted that on both YouTube and on the Facebook fan page for the book. You can see it on YouTube here. If you send the link around eventually someone connected to the Oprah show will see or hear about it. Thanks for any help you can provide to getting the word out.
