C.R.A.S.H.-B. 2011 Indoor Rowing
I’m in! I will be competing in the 2011 C.R.A.S.H.-B. 2011 World Indoor Rowing Championships to be held Feb 20th in Agganis Arena at Boston University.
I have been rowing on a one of these machines for winter workouts for years. And a couple of years ago I got on the Charles River and rowed in a real boat for the first time. I’ve been hearing about these indoor championships for years and knew they had an adaptive category but schedules never worked out. Everything lined up this year so I entered.
The adaptive events are only 1,000 meters. My normal workout is 6,000 or more so I think this will feel like a sprint. The “temporarily able-bodied” participants all do 2,000 meters. I wonder if I should maybe have entered in that category. Well, we’ll see how this first one goes and then see. Seems like maybe I am adding a new sport to my repertoire!
P.S. Guess what C.R.A.S.H.-B stands for? “Charles River All Star Has-Beens”
