Kelly’s mother was given a vaccine for a trip to Africa not knowing she was pregnant. Kelly was born without a full right foot or leg and that leg had to be amputated when she was six months old. She has never known any other way. And she has never known limitations. She played basketball, soccer, volleyball. And in track she set world records. Then she decided triathlons were her best sport; she still competes and wins gold. She appeared on Survivor: Nicragua. Her father, Dr. Bruno was her role model for becoming a doctor. Tragically he was killed in the Haiti earthquake.
